This is the homepage for Northwestern University's EECS 395/495: Development for Mobile Devices, offered in the Spring Quarter of 2009.
This course has now finished, thank you, students! Your final projects are now posted.
In this class, students will learn how to design, develop, test, and deploy applications for next-generation mobile devices like the Apple iPhone or Google Android. Students will complete a multi-part project over the course of the quarter that teaches the basics of developing for the iPhone; the course will culminate with student-led Final Projects, with the goal of getting the projects published on Apple's AppStore. In-class discussion and lectures will discuss programming for the iPhone specifically, and the unique opportunities and potential pitfalls of developing for always-connected mobile devices more generally.
